"To focus my efforts on doing the best job I possibly can for my clients"

There are aspects of real estate sales that seem pretty simple. There are many elements of a smooth transaction, however, that are complicated and daunting.

Like many people of my generation I was the product of parents who believed in hard work. I was fortunate enough to receive that same work ethic from my parents and it was expounded on in my first career. My name is Mike Boyce and I am a member of the RE/Max Crown Real Estate brokerage located in Regina, Saskatchewan.

I wanted to do something with my life in which I could help people and found that police work filled that need. So in the mid 70's I left my home in Nova Scotia to join the RCMP. I served with the RCMP in Saskatchewan for over 30 years. I served in the communities of Milestone, Melville, Pierceland, Yorkton and Regina prior to my retirement.

I don't believe "retired" is an appropriate term for most people and it certainly isn't in my case. My wife, who was also a member of the RCMP, left the force at the same time as I did. I helped her open her own business in Regina. She has that business well in hand and although I'm involved in a minor capacity she's the lady at the helm. With that in mind I was looking for something that was interesting and challenging.

As a member of the RCMP you tend to be moved quite a lot over a career which gives you an appreciation for the whole real estate transaction, from the listing to the sale to the purchase and the physical move. I had the occaision to deal with a Re/Max agent and I broached the subject of real estate as a career. The one thing I remembered he said was, “If you’re going to do it you have to do it full-time as it’s not a part-time career”. I took this to heart and jumped in with both feet.  Re/Max wasn't the first company I joined, however I think I found a place for the long haul. Over the last four years in real estate I've found the agents from Re/Max Crown Real Estate to be a dedicated bunch of professionals. I was able to get to know some of them through our deals and felt this brokerage would be the best fit for my personality.

The thing I'm looking forward to is to be able to run my business, within the Re/Max Crown Real Estate brokerage the way I see fit. It will allow me to dedicate my attention to my clients past, present and future. I would rather concentrate on helping my current clients than spending that time trying to find a stranger who I may or may not be able to work with in the future.

We as a family are strong supporters of the Regina Humane Society and we have a house full of various creatures including two dogs, four birds and fish. The dogs are both rescues as well are two of the birds. Anyone who has been to my wife’s business will have met Simon one of our parrots. Simon likes to greet the people and misses it when he doesn’t get to go to work.

I found one of the most rewarding aspects of policing was dealing with the public and the personal feeling of accomplishment I felt when I was able to resolve a problem for someone. In my latter postings in the RCMP I had lost my connection with the public due to the type of work I was doing. Over the last few months at my former brokerage I was in a management position and dealt with the building projects. I again lost some of that touch with the public. The thing I missed was the interaction with my clients and I found I wasn't doing a good job for my clients with one foot in two different areas. With my move to Re/Max I am enjoying the opportunity to again to be able to help people solve their problems as they relate to their real estate needs.

Watching my father run his electrical contract business and being able to help him on some of his building projects gave me an appreciation for construction and quality craftsmanship. The organizational & negotiation skills I learned as a member of the RCMP have been put to good use in real estate. I believe with my experience and training I'll be able to help you make your real estate adventure a much more enjoyable experience. I look forward to working with you.

I have learned from people who are moving that they often don’t know who to deal with as a real estate agent at their new location. I am able to provide you with a referral to a reputable real estate agent regardless of where you are moving to. I have access to experienced people in the business.

Whether you are moving in, moving out or just looking for a change please give me a call to assist you with your transition. As I said, I know the time constraints people are under, the needs of family and the demands of a new home. I will always ensure that your personal needs are my number one priority. Don't hesitate to call me with any questions regarding today's market or your own home. I look forward to hearing from you as well as the opportunity to work with you or someone you know.

I can help you with every aspect of buying or selling your home because I’m experienced, because I’m professional . . .and because I care.
