"All I can strive to be is the absolute best possible version of myself."

There are aspects of real estate sales that seem pretty simple. There are many elements of a smooth transaction, however, that are complicated and daunting.

Like many people of my generation I was the product of parents who believed in hard work. I was fortunate enough to receive that same work ethic from my parents and it was expounded on in my first career. My name is Mike Boyce and I am a member of the Exit Realty Fusion Team located in Regina, Saskatchewan.

I wanted to do something with my life in which I could help people and found that police work filled that need. So in the mid 70's I left my home in Nova Scotia to join the RCMP. I served with the RCMP in Saskatchewan for over 30 years and after my retirement continued to be involved with them in a minor capacity. I served in the communities of Milestone, Melville, Pierceland, Yorkton and Regina prior to my retirement.

I don't believe "retired" is an appropriate term for most people and it certainly isn't in my case. My wife, who was also a member of the RCMP, left the force at the same time. I helped her open her own business in Regina. She has that business well in hand and although I'm involved in a minor capacity she's the lady at the helm. With that in mind I was looking for something that was interesting and challenging.

As a member of the RCMP you tend to be moved a quite a lot over a career which gives you an appreciation for the whole real estate transaction, from the listing to the sale to the purchase and the physical move. On an occasion when dealing with a real estate agent I broached the subject of real estate as a career. The one thing I remembered he said was, “If you’re going to do it you have to do it full-time as it’s not a part-time career”. I took this to heart and jumped in with both feet.  After meeting with Loretta Hughes, my broker, I investigated the company of Exit Realty. It was a new company in Regina and I hadn’t heard of it before. I spent quite a bit of time researching the model and the company beliefs. It was an easy decision after that. Exit’s main focus is helping people, not only our clients but like no other company, provides a revenue stream that can follow an agent into retirement. The decision was easy and I joined the folks at Exit Realty Fusion.

Exit Realty is a Canadian company which has enjoyed great success in the United States and is considered to be one of the top real estate companies in Atlantic Canada. Exit Realty has started its move westward. Exit has already provided me with an excellent training program, one that will continue to challenge me for many years to come. As with the RCMP, training at Exit is expected and ongoing. Loretta Hughes, our Broker, has been selling real estate for many years in and around Regina.

We as a family are strong supporters of the Regina Humane Society and we have a house full of various creatures including two dogs, four birds and fish. Anyone who has been to my wife’s business will have met Simon our parrot. Simon likes to greet the people and misses it when he doesn’t get to go to work.

I found one of the most rewarding aspects of policing was dealing with the public and the personal feeling of accomplishment I felt when I was able to resolve a problem for someone. In my latter postings in the RCMP I had lost my connection with the public due to the type of work I was doing. Since coming to real estate and the team at Exit Realty Fusion I have again found that connection. I am enjoying the opportunity to again to be able to help people solve their problems as they relate to their real estate needs.

Watching my father run his electrical contract business and being able to help him on some of his building projects gave me an appreciation for construction and quality craftsmanship. The organizational & negotiation skills I learned as a member of the RCMP have been put to good use in real estate. I believe with my experience and training I'll be able to help you make your real estate adventure a much more enjoyable experience. I look forward to working with you.

I have learned from people who are moving that they often don’t know who to deal with as a real estate agent at their new location. I am able to provide you with a referral to a reputable real estate agent regardless of where you are moving to. I have access to experienced people in the business. I obtain the names of these agents based on their ability not what company they work for.

Whether you are moving in, moving out or just looking for a change please give me a call to assist you with your transition. As I said, I know the time constraints people are under, the needs of family and the demands of a new home. I will always ensure that your personal needs are my number one priority. Don't hesitate to call me with any questions regarding today's market or your own home. I look forward to hearing from you as well as the opportunity to work with you or someone you know.

I can help you with every aspect of buying or selling your home because I’m experienced, because I’m professional . . .and because I care.
